In a nutshell: A soft and fresh North East Italian sparkler with a touch of richness.
The lowdown: Bacio della Luna (meaning kiss of the moon) produce excellent, good value proseccos. Their Cuvée Brut contains more than just Glera grapes which means it doesn't carry the name prosecco, but it's very much in that style with, if anything, a bit more lusciousness. On the nose it has a good balance of green apples and ripe peach while on the palate there's a real intensity of flavour and tongue coating creaminess that goes with the velvety effervescence quite brilliantly.
When to drink: A stylish sparkler that's great for many sorts of occasions. A perfect apertif and party wine and also good with light pasta dishes.
Bacio della Luna is located in the town of Vidor in the heart of the Prosecco Superiore Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG area. Head winemaker Dario Dellamaria works closely with some of the best grape growers in the area to secure an excellent source of top quality fruit that's used in their range of proseccos and sparkling wines.
