In a nutshell:
A refreshing, elegant Gruner Veltliner from one of Austria's most respected wineries.
Weingut Brundlmayer quite simply make excellent, refined wines in the Kamptal region of north-eastern Austria, just north of where the river Kamp meets the Danube. Farming organically for over 40 years Willi Brundlmayer's emphasis is on single variety wines showcasing the vineyard and the vintage. This Gruner comes from vines grown on Kamptal's elevated granite terraces producing fruit with acidity, minerality and aromatics along with vines from more fertile soils giving fruit with more body and ripeness. A touch of spritz at first on the palate with aromas of elderflower, citrus and peach leading onto a dry, crisp palate with a minerally backbone and a long finish. A wonderfully balanced and elegant wine.
