In a nutshell:
A big, structured and biodynamic red from the Margaret River region of Westerrn Australia.
Cullen are one of the quality heavyweights of Margaret River in Western Australia; one of the oldest and most awarded family wineries, and all their wines are certified biodynamic. The grapes for this red come from their Mangan Vineyard and is a blend of Petit Verdot and Malbec matured for 17 months in seasoned French oak. It's a vibrant deep purple in the glass with aromas of floral rose and violet with dark fruit and chocolate notes. And has a big, structured palate with fine tannins and a long, lingering finish of bitter chocolate and hints of spice.
When to drink:
A wine that will keep well until at least the mid 2020s, it's an ideal partner for rich, gamey meats like venison, or well hung beef.
