In a nutshell:
A fine, dry, characterful German Riesling from the Nahe Valley.
Donnhoff are quite simply not only the best producer in the Nahe Valley but one of the best in Germany, and have been recognised so for many decades, receiving a Merit of Honour from the government back in 1953. This family producer have some outstanding vineyards in the beautiful Nahe Valley and this dry Riesling is a classic example of the estate. Grown on stony, weathered volcanic soils, and harvested and then matured in a mix of stainless steel and large German oak barrels. Wonderfully fresh and elegant with a backbone of minerality and well balanced acidity. Classic notes of lime and green apple, refined and complex, and finished with a long length. Standout German dry estate Riesling.
