The lowdown:
The fruit for this wine is grown in Chile's Casablanca valley where the alluvial soils, long ripening season and proximity to the cooling influences of the Pacific Ocean are ideal for the production of exemplary Pinot Noir. Aged for 3 months in French oak the resulting wine is rich and intense with pure red berry and red cherry fruit and a few smoky hints on the smooth and supple, medium-bodied palate. This wine just shouts New World Pinot and is very well made using excellent grapes.
When to drink:
A wine that shows off the best in New World Pinot Noir, try it with duck or mushroom based dishes.
