In a nutshell:
A captivatingly smooth and rounded medium-bodied red from Navarra in northern Spain.
Navarre is just east of Rioja and south of the Pyrenees and has been a wine producing area for centuries. From here come quite a few admirable and good value wines like this terrific red. It's a blend of juicy Garnacha and spicy, peppery Graciano that's been aged in oak barrels for eight months. It's got black fruits, mocha, and hints of smoke on the nose which follow through onto the palate where the crispness of the Graciano and sweetness of the Garnacha balance each other perfectly.
When to drink:
Incredibly versatile, it's a wine that works well with meat dishes, fish, pasta and also spicy foods.
