DESCRIPTION
A top quality, precise and taut South Australian white from one of the world's best Riesling producers.
The lowdown:
Jeff Grosset is often considered the king of South Australian Riesling and when you look at his wines it's not difficult to see why. His Polish Hill Riesling is up among the best and it's restrained with a delicate citrus aroma and light chalky minerality. Bone dry on the palate it's dazzlingly mouth watering with a pithy lemony texture. The excellent long finish has a good and clean minerality.
When to drink:
A powerful and vibrant dry riesling, drinking beautifully now but has the structure reward cellaring for several years ahead.

PRODUCER
Grosset Wines

Jeffrey Grosset started his eponymous winery in the 1980s in the historic township of Auburn in South Australia's Clare Valley wine region. He'd previously gained much experience with some of the large Australian producers like Lindemans before branching out on his own account.
The Clare Valley is famous for Rieslings and Grosset make some outstanding examples which highlight the differing characteristics of the the sub-districts with the region. Attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to qualiy are among Grosset's distinguishing traits and this was recognized as far back as 1998 when Jeffrey Grosset won the 'Riesling Winemaker of the Year' award in Hamburg Germany.
All his vineyards are certified organic and all tended by hand.
