In a nutshell:
A nicely textured and peachy Croatian white from the Istrian peninsula.
Malvazija Istarska, the indigenous grape variety of this wine, is closely related to the more widely seen Malvasia. In this north-west corner of Croatia, not far from Italy, it makes a crisp, zesty and mineral-rich wine which is both dry and opulent on the palate. The fruit character is quite tropical and peachy which gives a welcome bit of richness in the mouth and it finished with a touch of saltiness and spice making it quite food-friendly.
When to drink:
A very versatile wine that pairs well with thing like risotto and creamy poultry dishes.
