In a nutshell:
A smoky, peaty and earthy Island Single Malt from the Tobermory Distillery on the Isle of Mull.
Ledaig is Tobermory distillery's original name and they use it these days for their peated whisky expressions. Non-chill filtered, it has a bright, lemony gold colour with a sweet, briny smokiness on the nose which is followed by spicy pepper, peaty smoke and vanilla creaminess on the palate and a hint of spiciness at the finish. It's a fairly powerful dram that stands up well to some of its rivals from Islay.
