In a nutshell:
Well balanced, rich and full bodied brut Champagne from one of the leading Grand Marques.
Among the leading Champagne houses Louis Roederer remain of the few still in family ownership. This, their spendid non-vintage cuvée, is emblematic of the house style and is a little fuller and more mouthfilling than some. Most of the fruit is sourced from their own vineyards and is mainly Pinot Noir and Chardonnay with around 10-15% Pinot Meunier. About a third of it is made up of reserve wines from previous years. Fresh, creamy, fruity and well structured it has aromas of almonds, toast hints of apple blossom. At the lengthy finish there's a certain delicacy that sits well alongside its opulent character.
When to drink:
Luxurious, generous and mature it's all you want in a good NV champagne.
