DESCRIPTION
A fresh Provence style rosé from the heart of Bordeaux
The lowdown:
Made by brothers Karl and Yann Todeschini who have created a quite individual style of Bordeaux wines this pale pink coloured Merlot-Cabernet Franc rosé is driven by its amazing freshness. Ripe strawberries, faboulous citrus notes and subtle red cherry aromas in great balance with zingy acidity.
When to drink:
Purity and finesse in a bottle. Great on its own or with salads and charcuterie.
PRODUCER
Chateau Mangot

Owned and run by the Todeschini family since 1952, brothers Karl and Yann assumed responsibility for production in 2008. As the 3rd generation, they bring energy and a little youthful flare to the solid foundations set by their parents and grandparents.
With a recent heavy focus on the development of the 37 hectares of vineyard, which spans an altitude variance of 55 metres, their wines are well worthy of exploration.
Situated between Libourne and Castillon-la-Bataille with vines in both the St. Émilion and Castillion appellations the fruit itself grows in very similar terroir. However the differing detailed stipulations of these two AOC's results in wines whose characteristics differ dramatically to typify their own appellation.
