Michter's Distillery, one of the USA's oldest, has a rich history dating back to 1753. Founded by John Shenk in Schaefferstown, Pennsylvania, the distillery initially bore the name Shenk's. Over the centuries, it changed hands and names multiple times, finally becoming Michter's. Despite closure of the Pennsylvania distillery in 1989, the Michter's name was revived in the later 1990s and operations moved to Louisville, Kentucky. Today, Michter's is turning out some seriously impressive whiskeys, honouring its past while embracing modern techniques. The result?
