In a nutshell:
A full bodied, concentrated blockbuster Malbec from the Mendoza region of Argentina.
The fruit for this comes from 40 year old vineyards in the Lujan de Cuyo area and just under half of it is aged for 6-8 months in French oak barrels with gives a well judged structure and integrated tannic backbone. The bold black fruits, spices and smoky aromas lead on to a full, ripe palate with rich, luscious mouthfeel, silky smooth tannins and a great finish.
When to drink:
It's certainly a lot of wine for the money and will match well with rich pasta dishes, game and semi-cured cheeses.
