Nyetimber are one of those English wineries with enough reserve wines under their belt to produce a consistent non-vintage cuvée with a defined house style in the manner of the Grand Marque Champagne houses. Aged for more than three years on its lees this is toasty and spicy with fine bubbles and a complex aroma. The flavours that come through are of honey, almonds, pastry and baked apples.

Certainly among the the foremost of English sparkling wine producers, Nyetimber, who are based near West Chiltington in Sussex are also one of our country's largest producers.
Started in 1988 by an American couple and subsequently owned by music impersario Andy Hill, since 2006 it's been under the ownership of Eric Heerama who has placed the esteemed Cherie Spriggs at the winemaking helm. They have 170 hectares of vineyards across West Sussex and Hampshire. Quality is their watchword and only fruit from their own vineyards is used in their wines.
