The lowdown:
This beer has a wonderfully complex aroma of fruity hop zest, spiciness and rich malts. It offers initial toasted caramel malt aromas and flavours then mouth-watering citrus hop fruits giving way to a clean, fruity, refreshing hop bitterness.

Red MacGregor is a mighty beer and a celebration of one of Scotland's true historic heroes. It was one of the first beers in Scotland that expressively used the American hop Cascade for citrusy fruit flavour.

Orkney Brewery

Orkney Brewery was first established in 1988 by Roger and Irene White and at the time was a bot of a retirement project for them aimed at restoring the brewing tradition to the Orkney Isles.

Since then it's been a story of quiet and steady progress. Their distinctive beers now find their way to all parts of the UK and the brewery itself, in the village of Quoyloo on Orkneys' West Mainland, boasts a visitor centre and tasting room and is a tourist attraction in its own right.
