In a nutshell:
A lovely, elegant cool climate New South Wales red blend from multi-award winning winemaker Philip Shaw.
Made in the less well known Australian wine region of Orange, a few hours drive west of Sydney, past the Blue Mountains. High in altitude and with a cool climate, here you get a real freshness, depth and precision to the wines with great acidity. The No.17 balances fruit and savouriness with a nose dominated by dark berry fruits with undertones of dried herbs.
When to drink:
A dense yet refined palate with bold fruits, earthy notes and a touch of spice. Supple tannins and a long and persistent finish round things off.
