A snapshot of what Portuguese whites have to offer. Our 3 bottle Portuguese White Wine case gives you a great brief overview of three classic Portuguese white wines from three different regions.
Probably the most famous white wine from Portugal is Vinho Verde. This refreshing, zippy white comes from the far north of the country near the Spanish border and our example from Quinta da Raza typifies everything that's great about this popular wine. Still in the North but moving slightly south we reach the Douro Valley, famed for the production of Port but also producing some really approachable and different still white wines. Our example from the renowned Symington family of Port producers is a classic blend of several local and regional varieties. An hours or so drive south and we reach the Dão plateau, one of the oldest wine regions in Portugal. Prunus Branco is a great example of the sort of ripe, fruity and delicious wines produced there, this one made with 50% of the local grape Encruzado.
So enjoy our snapshot of the white wines of Portugal.
