Salice Salento is in Puglia, the heel of Italy and an area from where some impressive and good value wines are grown. This is a blend of Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera with a bold nose of black fruits and layers of sweet spice. Medium bodied it's full of black fruit flavours with nuts, raisins and a big whack of sweet oak spice.
When to drink:
A natural partner to meaty pasta dishes, or hearty stews.
