d'Arenberg The Stump Jump Grenache Shiraz Mourvedre 2016

Founded in 1912 by Joseph Osborn d'Arenberg have remained a family business ever since. Currently the business is under the guidance of d'Arry Osborn, the family patriach who celebrated his 90th birthday in 2016 and is still involved with business operations, and his son Chester who has been chief winemaker since 1984. The winery can be found just south of Adelaide in the wine producing heartland of McLaren Vale.

Undoubtedly one of Australia's most prominent quality wineries they have an extensive portfolio of wines, probably the best known of which are their 'icon' reds. Under Chester Osborn's reins they've most definitely kept up to speed with the 21st century from a marketing point view and at the same time keeping to the winemaking standards established over the preceding decades.

Their dedication to sustainable vineyard practices which maintain a balance between productivity and low environmental impact saw all the vineyards they own and lease being certified organic in 2015 which was followed the next year by Biodynamic certification across the whole estate. Throughout all of this their commitment to producing top quality wines is amply demonstrated by the continuing string of awards they garrner from around the world.
