Originally founded by Philippe Clicquot in 1772, Veuve Clicquot has, over the years, become one of the biggest and most famous of the big Champagne houses. It was during the Napoleonic wars that Madame Clicquot really got the business established and it really hasn't looked back since. Their famous Yellow Label bottles first put in an appearance in 1876 and this cuvée with its distinctive appearance has become their trademark brand which is now universally recognized. Since 1986 the company has been a part of the LMVH stable of luxury brands.
