Description
Bock, Marzen & Festbier
Germany
Organic - ABV 5.6% - 50.0cl
In a Nutshell:
An organic, amber-coloured Festbier - rich, smooth and a lager built for winter drinking.
The Lowdown:
Think of this as lager in its winter coat. Lammsbräu's Winter Festbier takes the clean precision of a Bavarian lager and fills it out with toasty malt and a touch of caramel depth. It's organic, deep amber in colour and softly rounded on the palate, with gentle sweetness and a firm, dry close. A full, well-balanced Märzen with real seasonal character.
The Brewery: Neumarkter Lammsbräu is a historic family brewery in Neumarkt, Bavaria, with roots going back to 1628. It's widely regarded as a pioneer of organic brewing, having started its conversion to fully organic production in the 1970s - long before sustainability became a marketing buzzword. Still family-run today, Lammsbräu works closely with local organic farmers for its barley, wheat and hops, and brews a range of classic Bavarian styles including Helles, Pils, Dunkel and Weissbier. Traditional in flavour but progressive in outlook, it's a brewery that's managed to keep its soul while setting the standard for environmentally responsible beer.
