Pivovar Kutna Hora

Medium

The medieval town of Kutná Hora lies in the heart of Bohemia about an hour's drive west of Prague and has had a brewery since as far back as the fifteenth century which was in continuous operation until 2010. Sadly, the owner at that time, Heineken, closed it down bringing to end centuries of brewing tradition in the town.

However, in 2016, the original brewery buildings were bought by a local businessman with the objective of re-starting operations and after a year of renovation beer production was once again established in 2017. Led by their flagship beer Kutnohorská Zlatá 12 they make a range of highly regarded classic Bohemian Pilsners alongside a range of specials and seasonals of various different styles.
